The Lofts of Washington University is a four-and-a-half acre project that will include both retail and residential space.
It will house 250 upper classmen apartments and 22,000 square feet of retail space.
The latest retailers to sign on are a Global Foods Market and the Peacock Loop Diner which will be open 24 hours.
?This used to be a vacant lot and apartment building. It felt like the retail strip was stopping,? said Cheryl Adelstein with Wash U. ?This is going to nit the west loop and east loop together and complete the pedestrian, shopping and retail experience.?
The project will be finished in phases and is expected to be complete in 2017. It?s an $80 million investment in the loop
