PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Gas prices in Rhode Island are up 3 cents over this time last week.
The latest survey by AAA Southern New England released Monday says the average cost of a gallon of self-serve, regular in the state is $3.59.
That's 12 cents higher than the national per-gallon average of $3.47.
Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.47 a gallon a year ago at this time.
The AAA survey found prices ranged from a low of $3.49 to a high of $3.79.
